COMMENT ON A NEW

Top Shop is one of the best and biggest empires related to the fashion industry. So, this year its bonuses profits incremented 10 %. And because of that, they will need more workers on their shops for this year’s Christmas.

So, also in reference with that, the shops have become bigger. They have revamped the shops and the quality of their clothes.

The Top Shop’s director, called Philip Green, knows what to do to win money and not to lose (like the journalists say in the new: “In many ways, Sir Philip is the ideal leader for the current times: he knows what consumers want, but also keeps the business streamlined.”) So he have changed a lot of things related with his shops, but the only “thing” that they haven’t changed is the supermodel Kate Moss, who had designed her last Top Shop collection.

Is very good to see how the fashion industry is going well in those countries, like England. Because now in Spain the economy is going wrong, and I think that no industry will increase its bonuses profits for years.

6. I have no time!

Right now, as you know I'm studying second of batxillerat, so I'me very nervous all the time because of the exams and the research project. I'm really stressed, specially this week, because in twenty days we have to hand it in. Also, the first term finishes next week and all the exams are close together.

On one hand, in reference to the research project, I couldn't work a lot in summer because I worked in a supermarket in Ampuriabrava, so I was busy, and when I arrived at home I just wanted to sleep. I started to work hard on ittwo or three months ago, but now, I have got exams and other projects.
The difference between last year and this year is that now, when I arrive at home every day, I can't do anything apart from study, and sometimes I am so tired that in som classes often I fall asleep.

On the other hand, this year I want to take very good marks to be able to study the university studies that I want, but this term it's difficult to concentrate just on the exams. After finishing the research project I will be calmer and I will work only on the exams.

Also, next week I'm going to start a course, at weekends, to be a summer school monitour (because I don't want to work in a supermarket again), but I'm lucky because it will last only two hours. When I was studying ESO or 1st batxillerat I could do more things than study: on weekends I went to visit my grandparents or I go out with my friends on saturday night, but now, I can't! Summarizing, I would like to have time to do more things, like go out on weekends, but this year I need to conform to be at home and study a lot for take good marks, so, then, I will be able to study in Barcelona, which is what I really want.

In one hand, Robbie Williams, who sixteen years ago sang with Take That, had left this group because he wanted to try to sing alone, so it was good, because he became more popular and one of the best singers for many people. But it’s true that Take That missed him for some years.

In my opinion Robbie has got a special voice which is able to sing lonely, but he provides something important at the group, the friendly of five boys who in the past were completely friends.

In the other hand for many people, the band could dispense with Robbie. But I don’t agree with that. So I don’t deny that the band was good without Robbie.

In the other hand, the new tells about the rejoin of the five boys and their next show across Europe. Their new album, called Progress will be released next month.

In a recent interview Robbie said: "There's going to be a bit for everybody," I'm going to be doing a bit, the lads are going to be doing a bit then we're all going to be doing a bit.

In reference with that, I think that the singer is so happy to has rejoined the group, formed by Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Jason Orange, Howard Donald and fortunately, now also by Robbie Williams.

SHAME – ROBBIE & GARY

A few months ago I listened a song by Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow, who have ever been friends, which talks about their rejoin, or at least, this is what I have understood. So the song explains that there are two boys who were friends and who now, are surrounded for have being separated so many years.

Here, I’ve updated the lyrics; you can listen to it and watch the lovely video.

I have chosen this new because the music is a topic which interests me a lot, and more if I find news related to my favourite singers. 3. THE AESOP'S ANIMALS

My research Project

My research project is about some fables written by a Greek author, called Aesop, who lived in the fifth century B.C. The main characters of these fables are animals, so, in my project I’ve investigate those animals and their characteristics. There are approximately eighteen different animals, and I had to read two hundred and seventy fables.

I chose this topic because animals interest me, and I have got a good mark in Greek, so I thought that I would be able to do it.

Right now, I’m working on it; I haven’t finished yet, because it’s very difficult to work on it every day, because we have also to study for the first term exams.

I’m happy with it, because at the beginning of the project I thought that it would be difficult for me to read so many fables and talk about a time about which we don’t know many things, but my tutor has helped me a lot, and now, I think that my project is going well and in some places funny.

In conclusion I’m proud to be doing this research project and I hope that the result will be the one that I want.

2. NO MUSIC, NO LIFE

Since I was young, I've thouth that music ia a form of expression that helps us to understand our and others feelings. I listen to a lot of music, specially at night, when I go to bed and I can't sleep. Also I listen to it when I'm on a train or on a bus, because music helps me to forget problems and think about those things which are really important, like feelings or love.

The music that I love to listen to is calm and lovely. And the ones I like the most are a form of english pop. My favourite artists are James Morrison, Robbie Williams and Bruno Mars. I love them, their music is special and different to the Spanish pop because of their lyrics.

About James Morrison

The most known songs by James Morrison are Maybe "Broken strings" (which is with Nelly Furtado), "Get to you" (the one we listened in class) and "You give me something". But I'm gonna show you one of my favourites, which is called "Nothing ever hurt like you".
This song talks about love and not being loved. The main character of the lyrics is a man who fell in love with a woman, but she lef him alone. He talks about an eternal pain and about nothing ever hurt him like this love.
